The majority of gamers likes to use their gaming headsets while playing in order to achieve better performance along an amazing gaming experience. There are some great gaming headsets out there, but there is that small percentage of people that prefers speakers over headphones. Some people though, just like to have both options available.

the good thing is that the criteria of choosing either a set of speakers or headphones are the same. You need to go for something which is able to deliver surround sound with deep bass and crisp highs. It is important to get surround sound as it helps your gaming performance to get improved due to giving you the ability to identify where do all the different sounds come from living a 3D experience.

Loudness is not a very essential feature. I mean it really depends on everyone’s personality. Most people don’t use their speakers only for gaming purposes, but for listening to music as well. So in order to always be in the game it is better to have a loud set of speakers even if you never use it at it’s maximum volume.

Keep in mind though that in favor of achieving true surround sound, your motherboard must be capable of processing and rendering 5,1 or 7,1 sound. If your motherboard cannot deliver surround sound don’t worry about it we have your back. You can easily purchase and install a cheap dedicated sound card which will do the trick for you.

quick facts

  • The higher the wattage, the louder the speakers
  • The lower the frequency, the deeper bass
  • An audio control box would be extremely useful

My all time favorite. Genius specializes one designing speakers especially for gamers. They all are super cheap and affordable and that’s probably the reason everyone goes for it. The SW-G5.1 3500 delivers rich 80 watts of dynamic digital surround sound effects from a 5.1 channel source input. It’s small 6.5inch subwoofer is enough to blow our minds up. The dual input is great for use with a PC 5.1ch sound card, PC, MP3/CD player or TV audio devices. Additionally it’s included wireless remote control makes it super easy to adjust volume, mute or switch off the console.

It’s design is very attractive and will suit with the most modern gaming computers as the subwoofer LED displays random colors when playing music or movies for visual impact.
